kasey's good friend shelley and her husband, chris, were visiting the city this past weekend from atlanta and we knew we needed to take them for brunch at friend of a farmer. for two years we have walked down irving place from gramercy park and past this charming looking restaurant that constantly had a line down the block waiting to get in. finally a few months ago we decided to brave the line and wait to get a table. once we sat down and had our first bite, we were hooked! every time we have gone there, mostly for brunch or dinner, every meal has been completely fresh and delicious. let's just say we've never seen four people lick their plates clean so fast. did we mention their fresh french pressed coffee? heaven. we love that the restaurant feels like your eating in a little old converted farmhouse with food served on skillets. it's just like a little piece of homey comfort. good and simple food is all that we ever want.
we love having visiting friends and sharing our little pieces of manhattan with them!
