we got married may 14 in austin, texas surrounded all of our family and friends we love the most. we danced, we ate cake, we had a lot of fun, and there are pictures to prove it! it was the time of our lives! we left from there for ocho rios, jamaica where we spent 7 long days on the beach, soaking up every ounce of sun and relaxation we could. we returned home to our small apartment in the gramercy neighborhood of new york city and started our life together (which mostly included unwrapping wedding presents). sean's sister, meaghan, arrived in the city for her summer internship a few days later and it has been so great having her here with us this summer! sean went back to work at new york life and kasey to ideeli. it felt so different returning as a married couple!
we have filled our first summer with many delicious meals (both in our tiny kitchen and in great new york restaurants!), trips to central park, and creating a comfy home in our apartment. we even flew back to texas for the wedding of kasey's best friend, shelley, which was so fun to experience as newlyweds.
as newlyweds we struggle to find our place in manhattan, balancing the life of being social 24-year-olds and newlyweds saving for our life ahead. we want to share our finds and thoughts on navigating this exciting life we lead (which we don't quite believe, but our mothers tell us differently).
