texas football

We took a long weekend to Texas in October to visit Kasey's parents, eat lots of mexican food, and take in some great Texas Longhorn football in Austin. It was nice to take a long 5 day weekend and really get away from the city. We spent a few days in Houston with the Cederberg's and went up to Austin for the Texas vs. Oklahoma State game (yes, Texas lost, but it was really fun regardless). It was Sean's first college football game! Needless to say, he was a little blown away by the stadium full of 110,000 Texas fans. Even though we came home with a solid 5 pound weight gain from all the Mexican food, it was a blast and we can't wait to go back!

in my life, lipstick and i have a strong love-hate relationship. sure, it looks pretty (when your lips are perfectly exfoliated and moisturized) but as soon as your lips hit that coffee cup in the morning, it usually ends up all over the place. yes, yes. we follow the rules. exfoliate. moisturize. conceal. powder. line. stick. blot. repeat....all. day. long. this was a very frustrating cycle in my life, but hey, beauty is pain right? right. until a makeup artist introduced me to occ, obsessive compulsive cosmetics. occ is 100% vegan cosmetic line and their lip tar is the greatest thing to happen to my life (besides my husband, of course!). with just the teensiest dab of lip tar, my lips are perfectly colored and moisturized... all day! there is no need for concealing, powdering, or lining. i may have to reapply one time after lunch. they have a great line of colors, something for everyone, at an unbeatable price! when was the last time you bought a great lipstick for under $20? if you love a bold lip as much as me, you need lip tar!
